Published by Drake Mabry (A0.799329).Meditation Garden was written in memory of my friend, Jean Bonato, who passed away a few years ago. I wrote this for her and her children, Lexi and Jasper. There are three versions of the same piece. One for piano, one for cello and one for cello and piano. I tried to capture the essence of Jean and her Buddhist leanings as well as the characters of her wonderful children. This is a tribute to her and her existence on earth. The duration of each version is 7'15.
Meditation Garden was premiered by Stéphane Bonneau and Drake Mabry at the CHU Cancer Ward in Poitiers, France on January 24, 2012.
