I wrote this song to describe what it feels like to say goodbye to a loved one such as a family member, friend, or devoted pet. In my case it was very difficult to let go of our 17 year old Birman cat Sebastian on June 3, 2011. He was my best friend. In this song I pour out all of my feelings as I recall the good times we had together and struggle with the desire to hold on to him in the midst of letting him go. I can't play this song without shedding a few tears. In Sebastian's honor, and his brother Newman Blue who we lost in 2006, I will donate at least $1 from every song purchased to www.spotsavespets.org.
