This arrangement captures the full beauty of this most famous of rivers, and offers students the occasion to play one of the great waltzes of all times. Given tempo and style, it eventually presents a wonderful opportunity, at performance time, to introduce the ensemble to thinking 3 beats while conducted in 1. Slightly more advanced than Beginning Strings, this series begins to involve more position work and a slightly more complex rhythmic figures. Rehearsal piano is often provided.
