This is recorded on the University of North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band 2005 CD. It is a melodious work, set in 5. 4 throughout. There is a long, wonderful section for trumpet. or flugelhorn. solo. The middle baroque sounding contrapuntal section is a masterpiece. The trumpet range is very reasonable. 5-5-5-3. can be played by only 8 brass.
