Published by Molenaar Edition. ML.021933050-S. Henry Mancini studied composition, piano and conducting at the famous Julliard School of Music. He started his musical career as a pianist and arranger with the Tex Beneke Band before working as arranger for the Universal movie pictures company. In the meantime he studied with Mario Castelnuevo-Tedesco and Ernst Krenek. He soon turned out to be a great soundtrack composer and finally became famous with his 'Pink Panther Theme'. Mancini has always been a fine composer and arranger of swinging bigband music as well, which can be heard in Cheers skilfully arranged for symphonic band by Dick Ravenal.
