This imaginative setting of the Rite I text of the Mass is both graceful and stirring. This setting can be sung by either choir or congregation as the melody line is tuneful and easily learned. The organ part is skillfully done and is effective on small instruments with its rich texture. The text setting is mostly syllabic with effective melismas on key words. Ths mass setting would be a welcome addition to the repertory for small choirs and congregations. Four traditional Mass movements are provided. there is no Credo. The text is in English. the organ part is on two staves with pedals indicated. The music is not difficult, but does have a few passages of changing meters.
