During that time I played it as a church offertory a few times, and in some small recital performances. Eventually it went to Hillyer Jennings, who played it on his high-school senior recital. Whether or not this piece got him into and through Harvard Law School is debatable, but it may be just the piece for a similarly ambitious student.
