가사: John Gary Bovay. Melodies! (Headphone Mix). Like A Dream.

INTRO:
(The french horn and the oboe roughly articulate the
vocal melody.)
(The guitar & violin parts form an instrumental
representation of this composition's two tragedians.)

VERSE 1:
Those days when we were young.
Came flooding back like a dream...
It was oh.., so long ago.
Ah... We were barely teens...
The world was a bright and beautiful place.
That lay beyond the next bend...
Together we both lived for now.
And went on and on without end......

BREAK A:
(Echoes theme of verse 1.)

VERSE 2:
It is often said, once friend is a friend,
is a friend, is a friend, is a friend.
But in your eyes.., I realised...
You could be much more than...
You took my hand and said
?hey man, let's go around the next bend...?
Together we both lived for now.
And went on and on without end......

BREAK B:
(The two young friends discover each other.)

BREAK C:
(Segues to present tense.)

VERSE 3:
Today came rushing back.
With a blast that shattered my dream.
In your bed you laid near death.
From a scourge so cruel and mean.
You clutched my hand and pled
?hey man, can ya help me 'round the next bend??
?Together we'll both live for now.
And go on and on without, end......?

BREAK D:
(1st friend comforts his/her dying partner, and prepares
to assist in the partner's final request.)

BREAK E:
(Death throes of the dying partner.)

BREAK F:
(Dying partner has passed on....)

VERSE 4:
(Spoken/sung in a grief?stricken and tremulous
semi?whisper.)
So now you're gone.
And it won't be long.
Before I depart, this scene.
I can't bear to live.
With a grief this strong.
A scourge so cruel, and mean.
By my own hand.
I have a plan.
To take me 'round the next bend.
(Sung with a plaintive and rising desperation.)
Then once again we'll both live for now.
And go on and on without end.......

BREAK G:
(Echoes theme of verse 4.)

BREAK H:
(Remaining friend teeters on the brink of her/his final
act.)

BREAK I:
(The final act.)
